Iron is a mineral that plays important roles in the body. It’s located in the heart of the hemoglobin protein, which carries oxygen through the body and is an integral part of the red blood cells and its deficiency leads to anemia. Women of childbearing age are the main population to suffer of iron deficiency due to blood loss during menstruation. A high dose of iron is also necessary for pregnant and breastfeeding women in order to prevent deficiencies.
Iron Complex contains a combination of gentle and easy-to-digest iron (bisglycinate) with added folate-derived folic acid, which is the natural and bioavailable form for the body, and vitamin B12 in its natural form (methylcobalamin), essential for the production of red blood cells and vitamin C, contributing to iron absorption.
Each capsule includes:
- Gentle, easy-to-digest iron in a dosage of 36mg and in a bisglycinate derivative that’s absorbed efficiently and without any side effects to the digestive system.
- Folic acid in the active methylfolate derivative at a dosage of 400mcg.
- Vitamin B-12 in its active form methylcobalamin, at a dosage of 250mcg.
- Vitamin C, which improves the absorption of iron, at a dosage of 100mg.
